I'm thinking of leaving Northern Cyprus and my friends ask me why. I reply "Not my land and not my people." I have a longing to return to my ancestral roots but having visited the UK recently, feel it too, is no longer what it was. Perhaps there is a Mag Mell somewhere where I will feel some sort of community and a sense of belonging.......

Mmmm, such a poignant conversation, thank you, it seems to me entirely correct that humanity is in a process of losing social cohesion and sense of place that perhaps we could (at one time) have taken for granted, although I am sure papa Dodson is one who never took such things for granted. I often study a couple of interesting cosmologies that both discuss this same topic, Anthroposophy and Human Design. To cut a long story short, they both point to what I'll call a current 'change in the celestial weather' that is guiding the evolutionary journey of human consciousness which of course is then reflected in our ordinary lives. (One way I think of these unseen but strongly felt influences is like background music in a cafe, it is going on all around me but I have varying degrees of awareness of how it is impacting my body, feelings and mind...) Hmmm, anyway, the gist is that for the last 400 years in particular, we have been bathed in a celestial music that has brought us together in strong family units - the tribe with the marriage at the heart of it with caretaking of children, each other and place - has been the song we were all tapping our feet to whether we knew it or not. That record is slowly fading out, the new song will require that individuals consciously decide to move towards each other and create a connection that previously was 'a given'. We will have to choose our families you could say, we will have to consciously build a relationship with the place we live. As I am currently on a workshop learning 'the art of conscious communication' I suppose I am still pretty hopeful that a significant number of good folks are heeding this call and want to step up. :-)

Hmm! Interesting. I wonder if Steiner and the Human Design people were thinking along the lines of the Aquarian Age, which is thought by some astrologers to be heralding the rise of eccentric religious cults led by charismatic personalities, in contrast to the highly centralised religious institutions of the Piscean.

Anthroposophy speaks of the Aquarian age being much further off into the future that is oft described by those astrologers, 3075 something like that... it talks of this being a time where we develop self-awareness (an individuated consciousness) and part of that is the falling away of control structures (or at least our ability to trust in leadership ‘from above’ so to speak). Mentorship, role-modelling, heartfelt discussion much more the way now. Yup - can see how cults could be more easily formed around strong personalities while this transition unfolds. Crazy times for sure.

Particularly as anthroposophy also offers that it is our task to recognise and ‘deal with’ (for want of a better phrase) evil, at this point in our evolution. Which is nice.

See much of that around?
