Awesome piece Luke! I love your descriptive use of language. Always warms the heart. As I started reading I wondered if the name 'Beatle' refered symbolically to the scarab beetle. These ancient resonances are always on my mind these days. I'd never contemplated the 'four-ness' aspect before. Fascinating stuff!

I hope the future is nostalgic and not what they tell us today it is going to be.

When this song came on the radio, I stopped what I was doing to listen. I liked it straight away. It was different to the harsh, jarring music that was churned out on a daily basis by the BBC.

I hadn't realised it was the Beatles but when I was told who was singing, I did feel sad. Mainly, as you say as those days were gone and they seemed so much better.

Later, I was listening to a music review show and they gave it 9/10 but then they also gave high scores for highly forgettable compositions. One young woman said she had only listened to it because of the hype and the fact that AI had been used in a novel way. Presumably she was put on the panel to parrot such a view or a generation is being raised to think reality is whatever the internet tells them it is.

You debunk some of the outlandish theories about the Beatles which is a relief as it seems to me they are distracting people and making them appear ridiculous. If I was working for the deep state, I could come up with some great stories that I bet somebody would run with. Makes you think that a big one like 'there was no pandemic' is getting no publicity for a reason.
